Gothic subculture

Hello guys!
I would like to discuss gothic style. You have seen goths - they wear black make up, gorgeous hair and they definitely stand out from the crowd. They are goths, and contrary to popular belief, there is nothing scary about them. Their dress styles consist of punk, Victorian, death rock, with mixtures from Medieval and Renaissance attire.

Goth fashion has a reciprocal relationship with the fashion world. In the later part of the first decade of the 21st century, designers such as Alexander McQueen and John Galliano brought elements of goth to runways. This was described as "Haute Goth" (High Gothic Fashion). The most famous 'pieces' include The Gothic Galliano Dress and Alexander McQueen Shoes.

So what is your attitude to gothic style?
Do you like Haute Goth fashion?

    It is unusual and takes everyone's attention, and sometimes is rather agressive. Still, I like the style, may be because it combines Medieval and Renaissance attire. The Haute Goth fashion looks mysterious and fabulous - but nowadays people has a lack of fantasy, I'm afraid. Thus it improves our imagination, which is nessesary.

    Hello, I think that such a style is little bit vulgar, and those ones who indulge in this subculture seem to be reserved, but anyhow it's a way to show people's individuality and I treat them with respect and comprehension.

    I like gothic style though I've never tried to look like a goth. It attracts a lot of attention and is much spoken of. Gothic style combines beauty, horror, magnificence and vulgarity at the same time, and that's incredible.

    to tell the truth, I do not like this style, but I like the courage of those who dresses like that, because for them it's a lifestyle and way of expression.

    I can't say I like this style very much, it's too dark, and it seems quite unsuitable for young people, who should enjoy their lives.
    But, to tell the truth, I find some of their clothes very interesting, I would certainly dress like that for some special party, but I'd never wear such clothes just as everyday costume.

    Frankly speaking, I am not a great lover of gothic style. But everyone may have his own style, tastes differ, you know. And some goths, who have a good taste in general, are rather attractive. Unfortunately, they are in minority.
